Charm has an excellent thread about how to do things, the framing of problems and solutions, and how your mentality can limit the way you interact with the world. I think it’s great, so I want to discuss some of the common pitfalls of doing and how to overcome them.
One thing to watch out for is centering your identity around doing just one thing. It is very hard to distinguish yourself in a specific field, such that others in that field acknowledge it as your identity. To rise above in a field, you must be in at least the 99th or even 99.9th percentile.
